End of Summer/Start of School

No matter what year you are, orientation week is THE BEST THING EVER. When I was a little kid, I told my mom that school without class would be amazing. Think about it, you would go to a place and see your friends but not have the stress of homework or tests...although as a second grader, I don't think homework was too stressful...ANWHOOOO...that's what orientation week is. Everybody is moving back and classes have yet to start. PLUS there's all sorts of crazy fun activities taking place on campus for the freshmen that you can go to.

I spent the first day of orientation week moving into my NEW APARTMENT. I don't have pictures of it yet, but trust me, it's amazing. I made sure that the last thing I did was set up my computer and it's a good thing I did...the moment I flipped it open, people started i.ming me with things to do. The guys from 8beat have an apartment near mine so I was at their place a lot during the week. We had a few cook outs and went ice skating one night. Tiffani and I also went to the dance on Saturday night and it was PACKED.

Sunday night aka the night before the first day of school, I made sure that summer finished with a bang. My parents were up for the weekend and we went to the New York State Fair in Syracuse and on a whim, my mom bought tickets to see Rascal Flatts and Taylor Swift in concert!!!! Best way to wrap up my fun-filled orientation week! Although, not gonna lie, getting home so late from the concert did not make me a happy camper waking up at 8 am the next morning.

So school started and so far it has been pretty busy! In addition to classes and other school activities, I got a new job this fall. I am a Supplemental Instruction Leader for the materials and processes course all photo freshmen have to take. SI Leaders are assigned to courses that are known for being difficult. What we have to do is go to the classes, take notes, and hold study session for the students. Unfortunately, this job makes it so that none of admission's regular tours fit in my schedule, but you will be sure to see me for open houses and such. And I'll keep on blogging!!

Alright, now back to some homework. [=
