I love the fafsa, i don't understand why more people don't use it financial aid. maybe the working is too complicated for people for...
I knew I chose the right school when I found out how big of a role video games play in this school. Not only are they played by a big percentage of the students (so lots of people to talk about these new releases with!) but one of the biggest clubs on campus revolves around video games! The Electronic Gaming Society puts on video game get-togethers every week to play some of the newest games and every so often they have a big LAN tournament! Unfortunately I can never go to the weekly meet-ups but the LAN tournaments are really intense and tons of fun to watch! Check them out on facebook and their official website!
RIT also offers a Game Design major, ranked #9 for undergraduate by Princeton Review (yup, we’re that good. *brushes off shoulders*). This major is really cool because the students learn how to actually make games and all of the coding and theory behind it! Their labs are really swagged out too, with dual monitors, alienware hardware, and the new Xbox 360s hooked up to them so they can test out their games right away. And on a side note, these labs can also be used for actual gaming, which is really cool. So if you need a break from your coding and game making, hop onto Steam and game away!
Now I don’t want you all to think that there’s only video games here at RIT. There’s so much more! I’m just gushing about one of my favorite parts, of many, about RIT. I’m really pumped for the release of Skyrim (which is released tonight actually!), doing the campaign of MW3, and I still need to get BF3 once payday rolls in (I know, I know it came out in October, but still, the graphics?! Crazyy!!).
