Goodbye Snowboarding Season, Hello Hiking Season

Kahle Toothill on Thursday, 29 March 2007. Posted in Clubs

I guess you can say I'm a little depressed. This winter has been a horrible season for snowboarding. I bought a whole new setup (it's pretty bomb if I say so myself) and I've only got to take it out once. Well, twice, if you count the demo day. I've only been out 8 times I think. Not cool. Anyway, I'm going home this weekend in hopes of finding (at least) some slush to play around in. I've got about 6 ski resorts within an hur of my house so I'm bound to find one.

Since the snow is pretty much non-existant here in Rochester, I have to focus my attention elsewhere. Hiking! I went to Letchworth with the RIT Outing Club on Sunday. It was a short hike, about 5.5 miles or so. It was a sunny Sunday afternoon and it felt good to get off campus and be outside, despite the mud.

Here are some pictures from the hike:

Wow - there really was a ton of mud! I didn't realize until I got home that I had it up to the back of my knee.
