To think about Brick City Weekend!
It’s less than two months away (October 4-7), which seems like forever considering how excited I am for all the events, and not to mention my birthday on Friday of Brick City! It will sneak up fast though, especially with the start of classes. Classes in the fall usually go by so fast. One thing you should take note to (especially incoming freshman):
If your parents are planning on coming to visit you for the events and plan to stay overnight in Rochester, BOOK YOUR HOTEL NOW
. They tend to get booked early as sometimes University of Rochester has their homecoming around this time too. Here are some hotels in the area that you can check out: http://www2.rit.edu/brickcity/importantinformation_hotels.php Another thing:
Students can get student discount rates for most of the events! So remember to bring your student ID with you when you purchase your tickets.
Check out this page for more info on all the events, including Steve Wozniak of Apple Computers, Howie Mandel and the College Activities Board (CAB)
On another note, I was fortunate enough to see the New York Yankees game when A-Rod hit his 500th career homerun! I'm still excited so I just wanted to share that with all of you!
Here is a video of his accomplishment to give you an idea of how exciting it was to be at this game:
