Your blog is really helpful for me as it describe the thing very simply and easy to understand for a new person in the market.
“Life is the hardest teacher, it gives the test first and the lesson after.”
So far all of those students and parents out there who were reading our blogs as incoming students, or prospective and are now current RIT undergraduate students CONGRATULATIONS, hope your first day of class is going well.
Off to a new year for me, and everyone else. This first quarter is going to be an interesting time for me. I have all major or minor related classes and no random classes like I have had in the past, i.e. massage therapy or wine and food pairing. But I am excited, off to new experiences and real world work! ;) This quarter is going to be all about balancing my work load and my social life. My boyfriend is still on co-op for another 3 months living essentially where I grew up in MA, so many trips home!
But as I sit here at the front desk of the admissions office watching all of you or your children walk into financial aid or come over to us to change their major, it gives me inspiration, seeing those fresh faces; college is an awesome experience that isn’t worth wasting.
Over the summer my mom and other people (cough, cough) spoke to me about how these are the best years of your life and do not put them to waste. Only once you have complete free range of your life. This is the time you decide to make it what you want it to be. So I plan to do just that. Go back to what I was freshman year; go live, experience
Live like theirs no tomorrow.
This is very important for me as this is going by no stretch of the imagination going to be my hardest quarter yet, so I just got to stay strong.
And for those of you who are just starting the application process, you too should live like there is no tomorrow, but also keep in mind that colleges still look at those midterm reports! And also don’t let yourself get bogged down by college applications, you can do it, and in time you will be walking across a campus on your first day of classes, taking it day by day!
