While everyone else has tests and quizzes, art students have projects.
“Well, that sounds easy!” you may think, but think again! Projects can take a pretty long time, depending on the assignment and for which class it is for. On average for me, I find each project to take at least 5+ hours. For bigger projects, such as for drawing class, they can take even more time. However, while it may take awhile and be a lot of work , the end product is really rewarding, being able to look at your finished project and be like “Yea, I did that.”
Here’s some projects I’ve worked on over the past quarter!
This project was for my 2D class. The assignment was to "switch the skins" of two objects.
This and the next few pieces are from Drawing. The above picture is our surrealism project, taking surrealism pieces and putting them together. In the piece above, I combined Picasso and Salvador Dali.
These are just some of the many project you could do in your foundation classes as an art student. It's a lot of work but totally worth it! Comment below if you have any questions!
