Raindrops on Roses
Week 1 of my 2 week summer vacation is almost over, and there has been rain everyday of it. I guess the old riddle “April showers bring May flowers” is not holding true, since many of the flowerbeds in my area have been flooded with rainwater from May showers. Usually, I like to spend as much time outside as possible, but I have been using my rain days to read the Harry Potter series again before the July 15th release of the Deathly Hallows Part 2.
I used to think that the myth “It’s always cloudy in Rochester” didn’t pertain to the Capital Region, which is only 4 hours east of Rochester. But somehow, that is how the weather has been since my departure from the 585. It’s hard to plan outdoor activities for the day, when there is always a chance of rain and storms. I am hoping when I get back to Rochester for the summer, the clouds will disappear on the weekends so I can enjoy some of the summer weather. However, it is okay to be cloudy when I am in class during the week.
As I make my plan of action for today, I noticed something strange on the weather forecast… NO rain! I think I am going to take this opportunity to enjoy the outdoor sunshine before it hides behind the clouds for another 10 days. First task of the day is to put on my running shoes and have a late morning workout along the streets of my town.
