Rambling About Summer

Cory Gregory on Thursday, 19 July 2007. Posted in Rochester & Monroe County, Student Life

To most college students, summer is a time of freedom from class and homework and a time to relax and have fun with friends. My summer hasn't really been that. I work 40 hours a week and I have class two nights a week. Along with homework, studying, and getting everything ready for work, my week is full. Granted, I like my job and the class isn't all that difficult, but it's still a little much. Good thing for weekends.

This past weekend I went back up to Rochester to visit friends. We arrived Friday night and hung out with a bunch of friends. There was a pride parade Saturday afternoon and a birthday party for my friend Marc Saturday night. We hung out a little while on Sunday morning before heading home. I had so much fun hanging out with everyone and I can't wait until school begins again so I can be in Rochester again.

This weekend I'm heading up to New Hampshire with my family. We'll be staying at my friend's house while we're up there. They have a very nice house that is right across the street from a lake. There are large rocks to jump off into the water and a cool pathway through the woods. Last time I was up in New Hampshire, we saw a couple moose! We plan on going to Attitash Ski Resort where they have a ride called the Alpine Slides. You ride up on a ski lift and then ride a cart down a curved path on the mountain. If you ever has a chance to ride this, do it. It's a lot of fun. Well I have to go pack for the trip so I'll write again after I return!

Alpine Slides are super fun! When I used to do, I remember the kids on the lift would throw skittles down on the slide and it was really annoying. haha.
