Rochester: Wood-fired Pizza, Traditional Italian, and Craft Brews
In honor of the latest #RITstudents episode, we are featuring blogs highlighting awesome places in the greater Rochester area. The episode explores the George Eastman House, The Little Theater, the Strong Museum of Play, the original Java’s, the Mount Hope Cemetery, and the Rochester Farmers Market.
We did not have enough time to explore all the Rochester eateries in the episode, so I wanted to share a few of my current favorites:
(1) Napa Wood Fired Pizza: Located on South Clinton Ave, Napa Wood Fired Pizza specializes in homemade, wood-fired pizza dishes.
(2) Benedettos: if you are a student looking for an amazing atmosphere to take mom & dad graduation weekend - check out Benedettos on Alexander Street. Traditional Italian and live jazz music on Friday and Saturday nights.
(3) Roc Brewing Co: founded by two RIT grads, Chris Spinelli and Jon Mervine have started “Brewing the American Dream” at their craft brew house on South Union street.
