Great post!
As the name suggests, this class focused on designing for the corporate world. This includes everything from logos and identity systems, branding, website design, information design (brochures, flyers, businesscards, etc.), and anything else you can imagine that a company would need. Ourassignment was to choose between two fictional companies and spend 10 weeks creatinga brand for that company. There is a general misconception about what a brand is. I like this definition by Brian Hoff:
“A brand is what the emotional response your companyreceives. The emotion behind what someone feels, sees, tastes, etc when theycome across your brand. A memorable logo is just the beginning – yet anextremely important beginning – that sets the overall tone for your new orexisting brand.”
So our job was to create an entire system for the company wechose. I picked Energyflo, an energy company with three subsidiaries:Windmatix, Solargenix, and Ecolectrix. We had to create a mission statement, logos, conference poster, and 1 “other” thing (I chose to design a website).
Here is the final product. Beware, the files are kind of big:
Logos

Conference Poster

Websites
