I love the fafsa, i don't understand why more people don't use it financial aid. maybe the working is too complicated for people for...
Things To Do While Waiting for RIT
1) Dorm Shopping! One of my favorite activities was getting cool stuff for the dorms. The dorms are a really unique/cool experience that you may only get once so you definately want to enjoy it while it lasts! I always suggest Target or Bed, Bath, and Beyond to get cool and good priced dorm swag. Get a cool bedspread to help brighten the room! Or a shag carpet and become the cool room.
2) Scope out some clubs/ activies you want to try at school. During Orientation, there's a club fair to show you guys all of the incredible clubs RIT has to offer! Keep an open mind, because there may be a club you never thought you'd be interested in, but turns out you and the club were meant to be! It's always helpful though to have a general idea of some clubs/organizations you definately want to check out though. Here's the club website HERE!
3) Make a "college bucket list" of everything you want to do before you graduate. I'm sure it will grow once you're actually in school, but it'd be cool to have a concrete list of what you expected to do when you look back on your Freshman year as you graduate once again. Some things that are currently on my bucket list are: go climbing at the Red Barn, fill the hot tub at the gym with 24 friends (it's a 25 person hot tub, so do-able!), and to pull a real all-nighter (I know, I haven't done this yet, but I feel like as a college student I gotta do this AT LEAST once).
4) Get a summer job. Working is always a great way to help pass the time, and the nice thing is you're making money! And trust me, you're going to want some extra spending money in school, if it's just for random trips to the mall or late night Zonies (trust me, you will get Zonies. They are incredible and will CHANGE YOUR LIFE.)
So good luck with your summer! While it may seem long, enjoy it and don't rush it (too much...)! I'll see all of you upcoming freshman at Orientation! Orientation is a blast! But that's for another blog post. =)
