Tips on Staying Organized

Organization is key in college. I didn't fully realize it until now though. I love keeping myself busy and never being bored so being organized helps me to plan out my day and to get everything done that I need to. Here's some things I use that can hopefully help you also stay organized!

-Post-its!  Post-its are my best friend. I have them everywhere on my desk in my aparment with things to do or remember. If you're like me and have a bad memory, if I don't write it down, I'll forget it. Post-its are also handy because they're small and can be put anywhere! I put them in my notebook, and even on my phone if I have to remember to bring something with me.

-To-Do Lists!  I love making to-do lists if I have a lot I need to accomplish in a day. This is going to sound weird, but it's really satisfying to cross something off the list when you have it done. Also, by writing things down that you have to do, it makes you more inclined to actually do them.

-Make a calendar! Making a calendar really helps to organize your week/month out. That way, if you have any conflicts or you need to study for a test in advance, you can plan it all out. I just started using iCal this year and it has made me so much more organized. Here's a picture of my iCal for this month and how it helps me stay organized!

College really does help with organization and time management. And I know this skill will definately carry over to the real world. Good luck organizing!
