This place is great. It’s further away from RIT than lots of other options, but the trip is worth it. It’s a busy weekend breakfast/brunch place, and there can be a little bit of a wait for a table, but the wait is worth it; there are just plenty of other people who realize what a great spot this place is. Also, located right on Park Avenue, there are lots of shops to wander to during a longer wait. Also, parking can be hard to find, but there are lots of side streets, and eventually you’ll find a spot that isn’t randomly marked with a no-parking sign.
Jine’s offers some unique delicious meals. Fair prices for filling meals. My personal favorite: banana bread French toast, but I think this is because it’s what I always get; I actually always end up liking whatever my brunch company eats as well. Basically, whatever you get will be good. I don’t think I’ve given you any reason not to go here.
Most people have probably been to Denny’s. It’s an okay place. The biggest selling point would be that it’s open 24 hours. It’s not far from campus, but it’s not really any closer to campus than lots of other options.
You sometimes see some pretty interesting people there. Once, I saw a bride at Denny’s; I’m not really sure why. I have no plan to go to Denny’s on my wedding day.
The food is pretty good. The service is sometimes slow. It’s probably more expensive than other diners. I’m not giving Denny’s a stellar review; I think that there are other better places around.
