Alright, so in case you all didn't catch the reference in the title, I spent a little time in good 'ol New England this weekend. All I can say about New Englanders....is that they look at me REALLY strange when I speak with my Rach'ster accent and mock them for their excessive use of the word "wicked". I mean really....what happened to "very"?
So, with a wicked long 6 hour drive, a wicked fast apartment hunt, and a wicked sweet drive along the coast, all in all the weekend was...wicked fun. I apologize for all of the "wicked"s, but I guess if you can't beat 'em, join 'em.
Why was I even in this "wicked" obsessed region of the US, you say? I will actually be moving to Rhode Island in two short months. I will be starting a co-op with Hasbro Toys in Pawtucket, RI in September and will not return to Rochester until March. Sounds exciting right? Well, after all the contracts/leases, planning, moving, spending of that green stuff, it gets a little overwhelming. Don't get me wrong, I'm still very grateful and excited for this opportunity. The main objective for the weekend was to find an apartment. I was successful on the very first day of looking and therefore had nothing else to do for Friday or Saturday. The trip then became vacation. My best friend came down from Boston and we spent all day together on Friday. That was really great because I haven't seen her in 5 weeks. We took a tour of one of the mansions in Newport - those people really know how to live!
The rest of the weekend was pretty relaxing.
Sorry if I offended and New Englanders with my wicked talk.
Anyone else have any interesting adventures in New England?
