I am blessed with two younger sisters that are probably the same age as most of you, high school juniors. They only live an hour away from Rochester, in Skaneateles, NY one of the finger lakes. I go home every month or so to relax and spend time with the family. I typically get bombarded with questions:
What if I don't like my major?
Should I swim in college?
What volunteer activities should I do?
Should I work on campus?
When should I do my graduate degree?
Do you think I can live in NYC?
Should I study abroad?
When should I study for the SATs?
I love my sisters don't get me wrong, but sometimes that relaxing weekend turns into endless conversations about college. These blogs are a great place to start to get an idea what its like to be a college student, but there is so much you can do to help answer all these questions. Go to the college visits at your high school! Find out if RIT is coming to your school. Come to a campus open house. There is even college and careers
. Not everyone has an older sister (or brother) thats been through college, but there are plenty of ways you can find out what you want to do and where you should go. Take advantage of talking with the ambassadors and they can act as your older sister!
