Message from the Director of Undergraduate Admissions:

On behalf of the Undergraduate Admissions Office, we want to express our concern for the families and communities that have been adversely affected by the widespread storm damage in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic.

We have received questions about our upcoming Early Decision plan deadline from families and high schools in the storm area asking for understanding with late submissions. The Undergraduate Admissions Office is writing to inform you that we will work with students, parents and school counseling offices to ensure that students unable to meet the Early Decision plan deadline will be held harmless due to impositions created by the storms. In response, we have modified our Early Decision Plan deadline.

The Early Decision deadline is being extended through December 15th for all prospective student applicants. If additional time is needed, please contact the Undergraduate Admissions Office by emailing This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or calling (585) 475-6631. We also encourage you to contact us if an application fee waiver is needed due to financial constraints incurred by the storms.

Please know that the Undergraduate Admissions Office at RIT is here to assist in making the admissions and financial aid process as smooth as possible for everyone. For those affected by the storms please contact us with any additional needs that you may have.

Best wishes,

Daniel R. Shelley, Ph.D
Assistant Vice President and
Director of Undergraduate Admissions
