These rates represent the average full-time student’s annual costs. Less-than-full-time enrollment or choice of housing may affect your actual costs. Variable expenses such as books and supplies, transportation, and personal expenses should also be factored into your annual budget (approximately $650 per quarter). Photography students should expect an additional $667 per quarter for facilities fee and supplies.
In addition, RIT requires all students to have adequate medical insurance, which enables access to health care when medical emergencies arise that require services provided outside of RIT’s Student Health Center. If a student does not have coverage, this requirement may be satisfied by enrolling in RIT's Basic Accident & Sickness coverage underwritten by Aetna Life Insurance Company. Enrollment is fully voluntary for all students except certain international students. Registered A, B, E, F, G, I, J, K, O, Q, R and V visa International Students will automatically be enrolled in this plan (2009-2010 rates to be listed at a later time). More information about health insurance can be found on the Student Health Center web site: http://www.rit.edu/studentaffairs/studenthealth/insurance.php.
