If you plan to live on RIT’s campus, rates for on-campus housing can be found on the Housing Operations web site. Meal plan rates can be found on the Dining Services web site and RIT’s health insurance provider is through University Health Plans, Inc.

The tuition and fees listed below are for full-time, matriculated graduate students. Tuition expenses are lower for part-time study and for deaf and hard-of-hearing students sponsored by NTID.
Charges for tuition, fees, room and board are computed on a semesterly basis. The university has an electronic billing (eBill) program for students. Each semester, all RIT students receive an email notification to their official university email account, stating that their eBill is available. Please visit Student Financial Services for a complete listing of costs for all programs and for more information on eServices and electronic billing.

International students requiring the services of our English Language Center may have additional tuition charges.
1RIT health insurance is required for all full-time graduate students. This is the annual rate for 12 months. For students entering in semesters other than Fall, this amount will be reduced. If a student does not have coverage, this requirement may be satisfied by enrolling in RIT's Basic Accident & Sickness coverage underwritten by Aetna Life Insurance Company. Enrollment is fully voluntary for all students except certain international students. Registered International Students with a/an A, B, E, F, G, I, J, K, O, Q, R and V visa will automatically be enrolled in this plan. More information about health insurance can be obtained from the Student Health Center.
2Estimates based on combined costs for rent, utilities and food in RIT apartments. Choice of housing will determine (and possibly increase) actual cost. If you live in RIT housing, your living expenses will vary depending on where you live. 3Photography and art students should estimate an additional $2,000 for materials and supplies per 9-month period of study.
