U.S. Department of Energy Scholars Program (Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education
The Department of Energy seeks students and recent college graduates in many disciplines. Must be a U.S. citizen, 18 years of age or older, undergraduate, graduate or recent graduate. The Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education manages the USDOE Scholars Program. ORISE focuses on scientific initiatives to research health risks from occupational hazards, environmental cleanup, and emergency preparedness. Undergraduates are paid a $600 stipend per week; graduate students and postgraduates are paid a $650 stipend per week.
