Marcia B. Harris served many years as the director of University Career Services at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is co-author of The Parent's Crash Course in Career Planning: Helping Your College Student Succeed (VGM, April 1996; 2d printing by Career Dimensions, October 2007; available at www.lulu.com) as well as several journal articles.
Marcia has been a consultant on college career issues for several organizations, including IBM, Philip Morris USA, and the CIA and has conducted external reviews for many universities. She has been cited in media such as ABC Worldwide News, Time, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Cosmopolitan, and The Boston Globe.
Marcia has served as president of SACE and on the Board of NACE. She is the recipient of several prestigious awards, including SACE's Ajax-Griffin Distinguished Service Award, the NACE/Chevron Outstanding Achievement Award for Innovation (twice) and the NACE Excellence in Technology award. In 2004, Marcia was elected to the NACE Academy of Fellows. |
