RIT’s Office of Cooperative Education and Career Services believes in preparing our students from underrepresented and diverse backgrounds to be successful in their career development. Through our diversity recruitment initiatives we strive to assist our students in finding employment, both co-op and full time, with organizations that value diversity.
Our Career Services Office has developed strong relationships with various student organizations related to diversity, as well as many of the administrative departments on campus who work in the area of multi-cultural student support.
We will work closely with you to customize a recruitment strategy that aligns with your diversity objectives.
Diversity Recruitment Services
Our Office will work directly with you to target your recruitment efforts and to plan effective recruiting events for specific groups. We can also provide data on enrollment numbers to assist you with your planning.
Fair Affinity Reception
The evening before each fall Career Fair we host the Affinity Reception. This is a reverse style fair where student groups have tables and employers are invited to interact with them in a less formal setting. This is a great opportunity to meet students before the large Career Fair event.
Electronic resume books are created each fall of the various student organizations. To request a resume book contact Kimberly DeLardge at email@example.com.
Student Group & Organization Connections
One of the most effective ways to reach students directly is to get involved with student groups and organizations. RIT has more than 25 career related organizations including:
American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES)
National Society of Black Engineers
Society of African American Business Students
