On Campus Interviews and Career Fairs
There are many ways to connect with employers with job opportunities. Two important ways are on campus interviews and career fairs.
We invite employers with openings to come to campus to interview students one-on-one using dedicated interview facilities in our building, the Bausch and Lomb Center.
How do you find out about these opportunities? In Job Zone. When you search for openings (co-op or full-time) the search defaults to job listings and on campus interviews, but if you want to filter on just the openings where employers intend to interview their candidates on campus, you can select Jobs/Show Me/ All Interviews. Apply to these openings and you may be selected by the employer to sign up for an interview time. On campus interviews typically run 30 minutes and may be a screeing interview, meaning a decision to move you along in the process will be based on that conversation. But it is possible, especially for co-op jobs, this may be your only interview and an offer may be forthcoming.
