RIT Computer Account
Get your RIT Computer Account
Your RIT computer account will allow you to tap into institute computer systems from any computer that is online whether you are on campus or at home. Online resources include course registration, RIT housing portal, RIT e-mail account, extensive databases and services available through Wallace Library, RIT Information, Campus Event System, Directories, etc.
After you have paid the advance tuition deposit, your existing RIT account will transition to a full student account. If you have not created an RIT account, you will receive an email with instructions for how to create your account.

Part-time On-Campus Students:
You have two options to obtain your RIT Student Computer Account:
- Stop by the ITS Service Desk in the Gannett building (7B) room 1113 with a valid RIT Student ID.
- Apply on line for your RIT student account at http://start.rit.edu/
Once your academic advisor has registered you for an online course, you will receive an account activation email from RIT Information Technology Services. If you have not supplied RIT with a valid email address, or if you do not receive this information within two business days after confirmed course registration, please contact the ITS Service Desk at 585-475-4357 for further assistance.
