A Graduate Student Orientation, for all incoming graduate students, is hosted by the Office of Graduate Studies. For more information visit the Graduate Studies Orientation website.
ACADEMIC DEPARTMENT ORIENTATION
In addition to the Graduate Student Orientation, you may be required to attend an Academic Department Orientation.
Additional information regarding Academic Department Orientation will be sent to you via RIT email. In the meantime, a list of departmental orientation dates may be found on the Orientation Registration Information pdf.
* Please note, not all graduate departments host orientations. If you have any questions about department orientation please contact your graduate program director or academic advisor.
INTERNATIONAL STUDENT ORIENTATION
All international students must attend the International Student Orientation Program. This program provides information on programs and services offered by the International Student Services and other RIT Offices. Information sessions cover topics such as employment in the U.S., immigration information, health care and health insurance, U.S. tax obligations, safety concerns, and U.S. Social Security Numbers. At International Student Orientation, you will meet the PALs (Peer Advisor Leaders). PALs are current RIT International and American student volunteers who will help answer your questions and assist you in getting settled at RIT. The International Student Orientation Program registration forms can be found here: http://rit.edu/b4Nqu.
Notifications of important dates and registration information will be sent via RIT email and posted on various social media networks. Be sure to connect with RIT using your preferred social media networks
