Orientation Information

RIT offers a number of orientation programs for their newly-accepted students.

GRADUATE STUDENT ORIENTATION AND WELCOME RECEPTION

We’re pleased that you have decided to join our Graduate Student community here at RIT, and invite you to join us at the Fall RIT Graduate Student Information session and Welcome BBQ. Graduate student orientation for the Fall 2014 semester will be August 19 2014.  All graduate students are encouraged to attend.

All incoming Graduate students are invited to attend the information fair beginning at 9 a.m. in the Gordon Field House.  At 2:00 p.m. there will be an information session hosted by the Office of Graduate Studies in Ingle Auditorium followed by a welcome BBQ behind Gracie’s at 5 p.m.

At the information fair and session you will have the opportunity to meet staff, faculty and students, learn about our community and the services available to you, and speak with representatives from such areas as Alumni Relations; Cooperative Education and Career Services; Financial Aid and Scholarships and Student Financial Services; Parking and Transportation; Registrar’s Office; Student Affairs; Wallace Library; Housing and Residence Life; Health Services, Graduate Enrollment Services; Catering and Food Services, as well as Rochester area services.

RIT President, William Destler, and Assistant Dean of Graduate Student Success, Rauncie Ryan will welcome you, and you'll have the opportunity to meet representatives from your academic department, and other graduate students at RIT at the welcome BBQ.

Please register using the 2014 Fall Graduate Student Orientation Registration form.

ACADEMIC DEPARTMENT ORIENTATION

In addition to the Graduate Student Fair and Reception, you are required to attend your Academic Department Orientation.
