GRADUATE STUDENT ORIENTATION AND WELCOME RECEPTION
We’re pleased that you have decided to join our Graduate Student community here at RIT, and invite you to join us at the Fall RIT Graduate Student Fair and Reception. Graduate student orientation for the Fall 2012 term will be held Tuesday, August 28, 2012. You will receive one or more paper or email invitations. Please RSVP by Aug. 15, 2012 to: Susan Phillips, sdpgla@rit.edu.
You will have the opportunity to meet our staff, faculty and students, learn about our community and the services available to you, and speak with representatives from such areas as Alumni Relations; Cooperative Education and Career Services; Financial Aid and Scholarships and Student Financial Services; Parking and Transportation; Registrar’s Office; Student Affairs; Wallace Library; Housing and Residence Life; Health Services, Graduate Enrollment Services; Catering and Food Services, as well as Rochester area services.
RIT President, William Destler, and Dean of Graduate Studies, Hector Flores will welcome you, and you'll have the opportunity to meet representatives from your academic department, and other graduate students at RIT.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENT ORIENTATIONAll international students must attend the International Student Orientation Program. This program provides information on programs and services offered by the International Student Services and other RIT Offices. Information sessions cover topics such as employment in the U.S., immigration information, health care and health insurance, U.S. tax obligations, safety concerns, and U.S. Social Security Numbers. At International Student Orientation, you will meet the PALs (Peer Advisor Leaders). PALs are current RIT International and American student volunteers who will help answer your questions and assist you in getting settled at RIT.
