The field of data is an ever growing area. Companies like IBM are predicting that demand for Data Scientists will increase by 364,000 by 2020.
RIT is preparing to meet this demand by offering a variety of graduate programs in and around the data discipline. Cutting-edge academic programs, outstanding faculty, and first-rate classroom and laboratory facilities provide you with a great educational experience. RIT’s co-op and experiential education programs give you the added advantage of testing your knowledge in real-world settings and on real-world problems before you graduate. In 2016-17, 25 percent of our graduate students completed at least one semester of cooperative education (CPT). More than 600 international students on F-1 and J-1 visas are currently completing 1–3 additional years of post-graduation training (OPT) at companies in the U.S.
Our overall class of 2016 graduate student outcome rate was 97.4% and the median starting salary of the majority who did get jobs was $69,200. Companies who have hired graduates of our data-related programs include Amazon, Google, IBM, Intuit, Excellus, and PriceWaterhouse, to name a few.
