Required Visits to Campus Common Questions

Questions

  1. Are there times when I need to be on-campus?
  2. If a lab-based course is required, how are those requirements completed?

Answers

  1. Are there times when I need to be on-campus?

Most programs can be completed entirely through online study. At this time, the only program that requires a campus residency is the MS Environmental, Health and Safety Management.  The program requires one four-day campus visit.  Consult the program coordinator regarding the schedule of required campus visits as needed.

  2. If a lab-based course is required, how are those requirements completed?

There are a few courses offered online that are labs or have an on-campus lab component. These types of courses usually include "Laboratory" in the course name or the course description will indicate "on campus lab session required". Students may be required to visit the RIT campus in order to participate. On campus lab sessions are usually scheduled as a three-day event during the 11-week quarter.
