Required Visits to Campus Common Questions

Questions

  1. Are there times I need to be on-campus?
  2. If a lab-based course is required, how are those requirements completed?

Answers

  1. Are there times I need to be on-campus?

There are three programs that require brief campus visits, which are generally three-days to one-week in length:

MS in Environmental, Health and Safety Management
    BS in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Technology
    MS in Print Media

Contact the academic advisors of each department for specific information about campus requirements or the possibility of arranging for alternative courses in your local area. Advisor information is listed with each program.

  2. If a lab-based course is required, how are those requirements completed?

There are a few courses offered through Online Learning that are labs or have an on-campus lab component. These types of courses usually include "Laboratory" in the course name or the course description will indicate "on campus lab session required". Students may be required to visit the RIT campus in order to participate. On campus lab sessions are usually scheduled as a three-day event during the 11-week quarter.
