Part-time Study
Electrical Technology
Program Overview
This part-time evening program is designed to prepare technicians for employment in the electrical and electronics fields. It also prepares graduates for continued studies toward a baccalaureate degree in engineering technology.
The program begins with courses in mathematics, physics, and basic electricity. The latter portion of the technical program covers topics in electronics and program electives. Program electives are offered to allow students to prepare for any of the electrical technologies upper-level programs: electrical engineering technology, computer engineering technology, or telecommunications engineering technology. Technical electives may be substituted in place of some upper-level requirements for those who plan on completing their education with an AAS degree. Courses in composition, communications, social science, and humanities round out the program.
