“In the spring of 2004 I received a full scholarship from the Aller Foundation
in Denmark that applies to a Masters Degree in Print Media at RIT's School of
Print Media. The Aller Foundation has been sending students from Scandinavia
to RIT for this particular Master for almost 20 years now. RIT is regarded as
one of the best in the print media area.
My experience at RIT has been very good. Not only has my education been very
fulfilling but also the good social life on campus has added a whole other dimension
to me, as a foreigner, experiencing a stay at an American university. I feel
like I have been approached with interest and kindness, which in turn have paved
the way for friendships to evolve. Lately I have been working as a Teacher Assistant
in the School of Print Media and that has been extremely rewarding as well.
The experience I have gained from that will benefit me greatly in my future
career. I definitely feel ready to successfully proceed on to my career-path
after my stay at RIT. In the luggage I will have new knowledge, experience,
friendships, which all contribute to my preparedness."
