I-9 Verification Process Effective

*This is not a job application!

New student employees are able to complete Section 1 of the government mandated I-9 form from any computer. If you are a new student worker, please follow the process as outlined below:

  1. You must first receive an offer of employment from an RIT employer.
  2. Log-on to I-9 Express by going to
  3. Use Employer Code 15083.
  4. Review your information for errors and then check the box for your electronic signature.
  5. Save the information and take your original required I-9 documents to the Student Employment Office to complete Section 2 of the I-9 verification process.
  6. SEO will verify your identity and eligibility to work using the original documents that you bring with you.
  7. Once SEO has completed Section 2, the I-9 process will be complete!

8:30am to 4:30pm

  • Make sure you are registered for at least 12 credit hours this quarter.

  • Read through the Getting a Job page to learn about how to go about finding a job on campus.

Returning Student Employees

Welcome back to RIT and good luck to you this quarter!

  • Don't forget to renew your SEO Employment Eligibility Card at our office!

  • Make sure you are registered for full-time status for the semester.

  • If you are working on your thesis or project, bring us a copy of the Full-Time Equivalency Form.

  • All W-2 and W-4 forms as well as New York State IT-2104 and IT-2104-E forms need to be sent to Payroll in the Eastman Building on the first floor.
