Position Summary

Lead a student crew responsible for special event set-ups/resets and various other assignments. . Event set-ups are generally in the early mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends. (Early AM and late PM are eligible for a $.75shift differential).

Essential Functions

Function as a working supervisor of a crew of students completing assigned tasks as requested
Interpret assignments and make independent decisions based on situations that arise during set-ups, interruptions in work flow, and changes in conditions
Keep accurate records of labor hours when performing tasks
Train student crew workers
Must be customer-centered, with emphasis on good communication skills

Skills Required

Solid oral and written communication skills
Must be able to exercise good judgment in organizing and motivating fellow students
Able to interpret sketches for set-ups of tables, chairs, curtains, coat racks
Must be able to lift 40 lbs. and push large carts
Knowledge of safe lifting techniques and use of moving equipment (hand trucks, carts, dollies)
Must stay until the setup that they sign up for is complete
Must not miss more than three setups that they sign up for
Very dependable and flexible with time

Skills Preferred

Experience as a supervisor
Experience moving furniture
