Position Summary

Cleaning and maintaining campus mechanical rooms.


Essential Functions

An engineerís helper can be assigned one of more of the following duties: Clean Mechanical rooms on campus. Duties that are included are: dusting, sweeping, mopping, etc. Some use of cleaning chemicals is involved. All other job related duties as required by department managers


Skills Required

Knowledge of safety and mechanical room operations and basic mechanical aptitude. Work with minimal supervision and follow assignments accurately and safely. Independent worker with good judgment.. Personable and tactful with all contacts. Valid driverís license required - All verbal or written employment offers will be contingent upon completion and clearance of a Motor Vehicle background check.

Position Summary

Under the direct supervision of the Coordinator for Inventory the Student Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for assisting in the day to day core inventory operations within the R.I.T apartment complexes. The Student Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for providing support services to the Coordinator for Inventory and assist with inventory deliveries and physical inventory checks.


Essential Functions

Duties: Involved in the daily building and maintenance of the inventory warehouse system. Understand the warehouse system and its daily uses and applications. Assist in the shipping and receiving of weekly inventory shipments. Provide support in the daily dispersing of inventory to the maintenance personnel in various apartment complexes on campus. Responsible for the daily maintenance of all storage areas. Provide assistance in inventory product research. Assist in the data entry of financial and descriptive inventory information. *** MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK DURING SUMMER SESSION***


Skills Required

Must possess excellent communication skills Proven customer service experience. Previous inventory work experience. Ability to work autonomously, as well as part of a team. Experience in using Microsoft Access, Word and Excel is preferred. Must be in good conduct standing with the Institute. Excellent attention to detail is a must. THIS JOB IS FOR 20+ HOURS PER WEEK DURING THE ACADEMIC QUARTER AND UP TO 40 HOURS PER WEEK DURING BREAKS.
