POSITION SUMMARY:
The UCI Program Designers serve as paraprofessional student assistants in the Office of Upper Class Initiatives (UCI) that help sophomore and junior year students successfully continue through their middle years with increased personal and career satisfaction. Program Designers will assist in: the assessing of student needs; planning, implementing and evaluating of educational and social programs; and the development of effective marketing efforts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The Program Designer will: a. Assist in the assessment, managing and evaluation of all programs and events. b. Serves as a liaisons (with the Coordinator of Upper Class Initiatives) to appropriate staff (as deemed the Dean’s Office) of two academic colleges to coordinate marketing and information processing. c. Assists in the development of electronic newsletters and other effective marketing that is relevant to RIT students. d. Attends weekly staff meetings. e. Is responsible for maintaining a minimum of four office hours a week, and more as work will require. f. Is responsible to work major programs and events. g. Attends personal development training programs as assigned. h. Completes additional tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS REQUIRED:
Excellent communication skills, verbal and oral Excellent organizational skills An openness to diversity Familiarity with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
