Projects and Research

In the last year the center completed 122 projects with 48 different companies while launching applied research efforts in the areas of flexible packaging, food packaging/safety and packaging supply chain sustainability. Product categories have included include meat, dairy, juice, wine, liquor, cleaning products, bakery, coffee and chocolate. Research outcomes have included innovations in flexible packaging including foamed films, co-extrusions which eliminate the need for traditional tie layers and polymer packaging materials with more than 50% renewable content.
