Learn to Skate at the Frank Ritter Ice Arena
The LEARN TO SKATE program is nationally recognized and developed by the United States Figure Skating Association (USFSA). Each session is six weeks and held during Public Skate in a spacious designated area. Each lesson is 20 minutes long with two hours practice time. The program is specialized for both little skaters (ages 3-5), and bigger skaters (ages 6 and up). Within this program, basic skill levels (1-8) are taught.
All of our LEARN TO SKATE Participants will receive a US Figure Skating Achievement Certificate and US Figure Skating Level Badge if achieved.
Session Fee: $80 (six week session) or $72 (five week session)
Each session includes:
- Personalized lesson
- Two hours of practice time
- Admission to the rink
Free rental skates the first day of class! After that, skate rental is available for $3 per pair.
Make-up classes are available within our offered lesson schedule. Registration Deadline is the Wednesday before your session begins (Monday for summer session), and is on a "first come" basis. You may register by mail or by phone.
Six week session: During the school year, lessons are on Sundays from 12:15pm-2:15pm, or 2:30pm-4:30pm.
Five week session: Wednesday Evenings 6:30pm-8:15pm (beginning in July)
