Cluster: New Faculty/Staff Orientation and Development

The objective of this learning cluster is to communicate classes, events, and resources to assist you as you embark on your career at RIT. To accomplish this, we provide information on how to register for new employee orientation offerings, as well as to provide links to courses listed in the other learning clusters that are particularly relevant and recommended for those new to the RIT community.

Digital Self Defense

Is the Internet becoming more and more of a jungle? Are you tired of dealing with Spyware? Viruses? Phishing? Do you still feel safe driving the Information Superhighway? How do you know if your computer is really protected?

Early Intervention Program

Early Intervention is an important process for all members of our community to learn and understand. This training will help us promote a safer community for all on campus and will ensure that all members of our community will receive the care and attention they need to be successful at RIT.


Harassment and Discrimination Training

This session reviews the details of RIT's policy on prohibiting harassment and discrimination, C6.0.  It is required that all faculty and staff attend.


This session can also be completed online through E Learning Zone.

New Employee Orientation

Welcome to RIT! Our New Employee Orientation program is an exciting 2 day event to help acclimate new employees to our university!

New Faculty Orientation

Each year we welcome new faculty to RIT by holding New Faculty Orientation prior to the start of fall quarter. This orientation is devoted to providing new faculty with the critical information about the university and the resources available for faculty to support the teaching and learning processes.
