Mandated testing of the fire alarm systems will take place from December 26, 2012 to January 4, 2013 in the following buildings:
- 01 - EAS - George Eastman
- 02 - RIA - Frank Ritter Ice Arena
- 03 - CLK - George H. Clark Gymnasium
- 04 - SAU - Student Alumni Union
- 13 - ORN - Orange Hall
- 15 - MON - Monroe Hall
- 16 - SMT - Schmitt Interfaith Center
- 17 - ENG - Center for Microelectronic and Computer Engineering
- 23 - HAC - Hale-Andrews Student Life Center
- 23A - AUG - August Center
- 24 - GOR - Field House
- 78 - SLA - Center for Integrated Manufacturing Studies
- 93 - OBH - Observatory House (654 John Street)
- 95 - - Flammable Storage Building
- 96 - - Vehicle Repair Garage
- 99 - FMS - Facilities Management Building
The exact time each building will be tested cannot be determined, except that it will be during normal working hours (8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.). Occupants of the areas may hear a brief audible alarm during the test, but there is no need to evacuate the buildings. However, if the alarm sounds for an extended period (approximately one (1) minute), evacuation is suggested for safety reasons.
