Electrical Shutdown - September 2016

FMS has scheduled an electrical power shutdown for this Sunday,  September 25, at 6 a.m.
 
This outage will allow us to connect electrical power to a new modular office facility (Annex 4, Blg 084) which has been set in place south of Hugh L Carey Hall (Blg 014).
 
The shutdown, which is expected to last approximately three and one half hours, will affect the following residence halls, apartments, and academic buildings:

Electrical Shutdown – May 2017

For the completion of the installation of new switchgear in the main electrical
substation, there will be major electrical power shutdowns on campus;
 
Wednesday evening May 24th starting at 5 p.m. and ending at 7 a.m. Thursday morning.
Thursday evening May 25th starting at 5 p.m. and ending at 7 a.m. Friday morning.
Friday evening May 26th starting at 5 p.m. and ending at 7 a.m. Saturday morning.
 
All campus buildings will be affected EXCEPT Blg 80 (Red Barn) and Colony
Manor.
 
During the outages, the emergency power generators will be in operation to
provide power for Fire Alarm systems and emergency lighting.
 
The switchgear in the substation is being replaced and upgraded to continue
reliable electrical service and improve distribution of on campus power
generation (solar power and fuel cell).
