The American College of Management and Technology (ACMT) established a partnership with the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in 1997. Croatia’s Ministry of Science, Education and Sports wished to establish a private institute of higher education in Croatia and reached out to RIT based on its history of excellence in career focused education. Over 500 students are enrolled in undergraduate degree programs in Hospitality and Service Management as well as Information Technology. Students also benefit from an array of liberal arts courses in language and culture, business electives and participate in a co-operative education work experience.

ACMT’s vision is to be recognized as a leading learning provider for students who seek both knowledge and career experiences in management and technology. This vision includes educating students from around the world. ACMT students come from Europe, Australia, South America and the United States. It is also a popular study abroad option for students at RIT as well as other U.S. and European colleges and universities.

For more than a decade, RIT and Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) have collaborated to provide affordable high quality educational opportunities to students from the Dominican Republic, including degree programs, faculty development, and short-term training. These programs have produced substantial results -- since 1998, more than 300 students from the Dominican Republic have received degrees from RIT through the RIT/PUCMM partnership programs.

RIT Dubai was established in 2008 to provide world-class educational university programs in the United Arab Emirates for students from the Middle-East, North Africa and South East Asia. It all started with a vision of a high quality, American-style university for Kosovo, an institution to promote economic and institutional development by educating the next generation of leaders. The American University in Kosovo is the result of that vision. In March of 2002, community, government and business leaders began to explore the possibilities. Initial funding came from the Fund for the Reconstruction of Kosova, made up of the voluntary contributions of the Kosovar Diaspora living all over the world. In 2003, the American University in Kosovo was established as Kosovo’s first private university and reached out to the Rochester Institute of Technology as its partner in education.

Today, over 600 graduate and undergraduate students are enrolled at this university. Undergraduate students earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Arts and Sciences with an option for professional concentration areas in management, information technology, public policy, economics and statistics, and media and graphic communications. Student can also earn a liberal arts minor in policy, economics, legal studies and international relations. Graduate students earn a Master of Science degree in Professional Studies with concentrations in service management, project management, infrastructure development and public service. The American University in Kosovo provides the foundation for students to not only adapt to the constant change within the technical, managerial and business environments, but also to be its leaders.

The American University in Kosovo attracts students from more than 20 different countries. It offers students a great opportunity to interact in a multinational classroom and get better prepared for the globalized world we live in. As a major technological university, RIT offers innovative programs and world-class facilities that are designed to prepare you not only for today’s competitive workplace but for the challenges you will face tomorrow.

Study Abroad at RIT offers students studying in Croatia, Dubai and Kosovo the opportunity to live and study at Rochester Institute of Technology as an integral part of their education. Outstanding undergraduate and graduate students are invited to apply to study on the main RIT campus in Rochester, New York for the spring or summer term. Students will pay the tuition rate of their home university for their study abroad term and get to enjoy all the same benefits and amenities as RIT students living and studying in the United States.

Through the Study Abroad at RIT program, students are given the opportunity to experience college life on an American college campus, take specialized courses that may not be available to them at their home university, further develop English language skills, and build long-lasting friendships and colleagues with students, faculty, and staff.

Students will live in either the RIT dormitories or RIT Global Village housing, both of which are located within walking distance to all classrooms, studios, labs, dining facilities, the Wallace Library, the Gordon Field House and Activities Center, and all the other many amenities on the RIT campus.
