Students Go Global

Travel abroad with the Rochester Institute of Technology! RIT is a global university based in Rochester, NY which also has students and faculty at its partner universities around the world. It is RIT’s mission to educate students to be successful in a global society, develop an awareness of the world around them as well as an understanding of cross-cultural issues. To accomplish this mission, RIT operates in five different countries and currently offers study abroad programs in Croatia, Dubai and Kosovo.

In collaboration with its partner universities, RIT has developed specialized programs for students to travel and study during the academic year and in the summer. Students, those currently studying at RIT as well as those studying at other institutions around the world, can now travel, study and become a more involved member of today’s global society.

RIT’s global partner universities enroll students in RIT programs from around the world. All programs are delivered in English which sets the stage for a truly global experience with no barriers to communication. Students from all of RIT’s campuses are encouraged to study-abroad within its global network. Students studying at other private and public colleges and universities can also study abroad with RIT Global. All courses taken at RIT partner universities are recorded on an official RIT academic transcript which student can use within their RIT program of study or transfer to other U.S. educational institutions.

Croatia

Established in 1997, the American College of Management and Technology (ACMT) prepares students for careers in the global marketplace. Today, ACMT enrolls over 500 students not only from within Croatia, but throughout Europe, Australia, South America and the United States.

Kosovo

Study Abroad at RIT

As a major technological university, RIT offers innovative programs and world-class facilities that are designed to prepare you not only for today’s competitive workplace but for the challenges you will face tomorrow.

Study Abroad at RIT offers students studying in Croatia, Dubai and Kosovo the opportunity to live and study at Rochester Institute of Technology as an integral part of their education. Outstanding undergraduate and graduate students are invited to apply to study on the main RIT campus in Rochester, New York for the spring or summer term. Students will pay the tuition rate of their home university for their study abroad term and get to enjoy all the same benefits and amenities as RIT students living and studying in the United States.

Through the Study Abroad at RIT program, students are given the opportunity to experience college life on an American college campus, take specialized courses that may not be available to them at their home university, further develop English language skills, and build long-lasting friendships and colleagues with students, faculty, and staff.

Students will live in either the RIT dormitories or RIT Global Village housing, both of which are located within walking distance to all classrooms, studios, labs, dining facilities, the Wallace Library, the Gordon Field House and Activities Center, and all the other many amenities on the RIT campus.
