Where do I park?

U-Lot and D-Lot are the most convenient lots. Please see the parking link for handicapped parking, maps, and other parking details.

When should I arrive? Can I get tickets at the door? Will I be guaranteed a seat?

If available, tickets will go on sale 90 minutes prior to game time in Ritter Ice Arean. The doors will open 75 minutes before game time. A reserved section ticket must be purchased to guarantee a seat.

I bought a general admission ticket and can't find a seat. Why are there no seats available?

Ritter Ice Arena has seated reserved sections, general admission seated and space for general admission standing room. It is first come, first served basis. To guarantee a seat, reserved section tickets must be purchased.

My son and daughter are both under the age of 2. Do I have to purchase a reserved seat for them?

There is no need to purchase a ticket for children 2 and under in the reserved section. However, children must sit on the adults lap and not occupy another seat. Children 5 and under can receive a free general admission ticket.

I am a general admission season ticket holder but would like to 'upgrade' my tickets to the reserved section for 1 game. How much is it?

A new ticket would be purchased at full price. Season tickets are discounted to give the fans maximum value. This discount is only offered when season tickets go on sale through the first home game.

Can my children in high school receive the 'student' discount?

Yes, all RIT students, all students 18 and under, as well as any college student with a college ID are eligible for the student discount.

I ordered my tickets over the phone by calling the Box Office. How do I get my tickets?

Currently, tickets ordered over the phone can be delivered 1 of 2 ways, Will Call or Mail. There is a $3.00 delivery fee for will call and $4.00 for mail.

I lost my tickets. Can they be replaced?

Season ticket holders will the option to replace lost or stolen tickets. The Gordon Field House Box Office assumes no responsibility for lost, stolen or destroyed tickets.

Is there re-entry?

Yes, there is re-entry only through the southeast set of doors at the main entrance.

Do I need a ticket for a child?

Children 2 and under do not need a ticket but must sit on an adults lap. Children between the ages of 3 and 5 can recieve a free ticket at the ticket windows or Will Call. Free tickets are not distributed prior to game night; tickets are only available on game nights at Ritter Ice Arena.

Are cell phones, radios or cameras allowed?

Cell phones, radios and small cameras are allowed. No professional photography equipment is permitted. No flash cameras during play.

Can I bring my RIT flag and/or cardboard signs into Ritter Ice Arena?

Yes, but signs deemed negative by arena management and security will be confiscated. No signs are to be posted on glass.

Am I allowed to bring in a thermos of hot chocolate or food?

Thermoses, coolers, cups, bottles, cans, flasks, alcoholic beverages, or containers of any kind are not allowed. Aerosol and spray cans are also not permitted.

Am I allowed to bring in backpacks and book bags?

Bags are allowed. All bags will be searched upon entering the arena.

Reserved Sections

  • Reserved seats are available in Section 100, 101, 115, 116 & 117.
  • Group priced reserved ticets are only available section 115 only. Group pricing is $1.00 off the reserved price with the purchase of 15 or more tickets.
  • All those occupying a seat will be required to purchase a ticket. Ages 2 and under are free however, must sit on parents lap.
  • General admission tickets can be exchanged to reserved seats for an additional $2.00-$4.00.
  • Season ticket holders and those with complimentary tickets cannot exchange tickets for a partial charge. They must pay the full reserved price. See Single Game Tickets page for reserved pricing.

Holds/Releases

If tickets remain, on Tuesday's and Friday's at 10:00AM the box office will release tickets that were on hold for the upcoming weekend game(s). On Tuesday's these tickets will be in reserved section 115 and on Friday the tickets are in reserved sections 116, 117 and/or general admission. These tickets are only released IF available.

Ticket Limits

RIT offers discounts to students, faculty/staff and alum. There is a limit of 2 discounted ticket (student, faculty, staff, alum) per eligible person, per game. Valid RIT ID is required to receive applicable discounts.

Lost or Stolen tickets

Season ticket holders will the option to replace lost or stolen tickets. Old tickets will be deactivated and new tickets will be issued. Only new tickets with new bar codes will be permitted to enter Ritter Ice Arena. There will be a $5.00 fee per seat to reprint any season seat. For more information, contact the Gordon Field House Box Office at (585) 475-4121. Please allow 3 business days for tickets to be printed.

Single game tickets cannot be replaced because at this time single game tickets/transactions are not tracked by customer last name at point of sale. The Gordon Field House Box Office assumes no responsibility for lost, stolen or destroyed tickets.

Security/Prohibited Items/Behavior

  • Thermoses, coolers, cups, bottles, cans, flasks, alcoholic beverages, or containers of any kind are not allowed. Aerosol and spray cans are also not permitted.
  • Bags are allowed. All bags will be searched upon entering the arena.
  • Signs and flags are permitted however if signs are deemed negative by arena management or security they will be confiscated.
  • No air horns or whistles.
  • Alcohol and tobacco use are prohibited
  • RIT is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
  • Pets are not permitted (except for personal access).
  • Solicitation is prohibited.
  • Non-compliant individuals may be asked to leave arena.
  • Observe all emergency exit signage.

The NCAA, Atlantic Hockey Association and Rochester Institute of Technology promote good sportsmanship by student athletes, coaches and spectators. We request your cooperation by supporting the participants and officials in a positive manner. Profanity, racial or sexist comments, or other intimidating actions directed at officials, student athletes, coaches or team representatives – as well as public intoxication, the consumption or possession of alcoholic beverages and tobacco products are prohibited. Persons violating these rules will be subject to immediate ejection from the arena and any penalty, fine or arrest that may be provided for by law.

Season Ticket Holder Polices

  • There are no refunds and/or exchanges on the entire season ticket package and individual games.
  • If a general admission season ticket holder wishes to sit in the reserved section, they must purchase a single game reserved ticket at full price. Season tickets are discounted to give the fans maximum value; in some cases as much as 25%. This discount is only offered when season tickets go on sale through the first home game.
  • If season tickets are lost or stolen, they can be replaced after the season ticket holder contacts the Gordon Field House Box Office. The old tickets will be deactivated and new tickets will be issued. Only the new tickets with a new bar code will be permitted to enter Ritter Ice Arena. There will be a $5.00 fee per seat to reprint any season seat. For more information, contact the Gordon Field House Box Office at (585) 475-4121. Please allow 3 business days for tickets to be printed.
  • All tickets purchased through the Gordon Field House Box Office must be picked up in person upon showing proper identification at the Gordon Field House Box Office or Will Call at Ritter Ice Arena on game nights.
  • Limited Priority Seating: On game nights season ticket holders will have first access to a reserved section located by the concession stand. This section has limited seats and is first come, first served. If seats remain 10 minutes into the start of the game, then the section will be opened to all.
