Off-campus Housing Options

Students are encouraged to visit RIT's Off Campus and Apartment Student Association (OCASA) and Housing Connection websites. The Housing Connection is an online roommate and apartment referral service provided by RIT Housing Operations that lets RIT upperclass students post openings within their RIT on-campus apartment/suite. Students use this site to search for housing within RIT apartments/suites (roommate available), or to fill a vacancy in an RIT apartment/suite (roommate wanted).

Resources for locating off-campus, non-RIT housing can be found by conducting a web search. Rochester offers many diverse types of off-campus housing. Urban style housing and living options are available in the city of Rochester, while suburban housing and living options are available close to RIT’s main campus.

Important note regarding off-campus housing: The Henrietta Town Code prohibits more than 3 unrelated people from living together in a single-family home. If you live with people who are not your relatives and rent or own a single-family home in Henrietta, this code may apply to you. This code does not apply to RIT on-campus housing or apartment complexes in Henrietta. For more information, contact Dawn Soufleris, assistant vice president for RIT Student Affairs, at (585) 475-2574.
