• If you currently live in a Global Village suite with a vacancy, you do not need to post a Roommate Wanted listing. Housing Operations will fill Global Village vacancies automatically.
• Incoming Freshmen are required to live in the Residence Halls and may not use the RIT Housing Connection in order to request apartment housing. If you have any questions, please contact Housing Operations at 585-475-2572 or housing@rit.edu.

Welcome to the new Housing Connection – a roommate and apartment/suite referral service that provides an opportunity for RIT upperclass students to post and view openings within RIT apartments and University Commons suites. The Housing Connection allows you to convey your interests, lifestyle preferences, and housing and roommate preferences to best match you with the right living arrangements. Students may use this site to search for available housing within RIT apartments and suites (roommate available), or to fill a vacancy in an RIT apartment or suite (roommate wanted).

Please note that if you are not currently assigned to RIT housing and plan on moving into any RIT housing community, you must fill out and submit a housing contract. Contracts are binding for a full academic year (fall, winter, and spring quarters), and quarterly contracts are not available.

Want to roommate add into an RIT apartment/suite?

Use the Create Roommate Available Listing form if you do not currently reside in an RIT apartment or University Commons suite and would like to roommate add into an RIT apartment or suite. Students currently assigned to RIT housing in need of a roommate will be able to search for you based on your preferences. Check the View Roommate Wanted Listings page to view current openings in RIT apartments and suites!

Listings are posted for 15 days. To extend beyond 15 days, you will need to re-post your listing.

Looking to fill a vacancy in your RIT apartment/suite?

Use the Create Roommate Wanted Listing form if you are currently assigned to an RIT apartment or University Commons suite and are looking for a new roommate to fill a vacancy in your apartment or suite. Potential roommates will be able to contact you using the information that you provide on the form. Be sure to check the View Roommate Available Listings page as someone that matches your needs may already be posted!
