Earth Week @ RIT 2011 (April 18-22)
Please join environmentally-focused RIT organizations at the SAU and on campus during the week of April 18 – 22 in celebration of Earth Day. These events have been coordinated by the Golisano Institute for Sustainability (GIS) in partnership with New York State Pollution Prevention Institute (NYSP2I), the Student Environmental Action League (SEAL), R3 @ RIT, Engineers for a Sustainable World, and the RIT Community Garden.

Tuesday @ SAU, 11am – 2pm: Alternative Fuels, Alternative Energy (hosted by Engineers for a Sustainable World); RIT Community Garden (hosted by RIT Community Garden)
Tuesday @ the RIT Tiger Statue: Campus Waste Audit (hosted by SEAL)
Wednesday @ SAU, 11am – 2pm: Environmental Innovation (hosted by Golisano Institute for Sustainability (GIS) and New York State Pollution Prevention Institute)
Wednesday @ SAU, 1:00 – 2:00PM: Guest Speaker (hosted by GIS): Rosa Mitsumasu Heredia, MS Candidate, presenting her thesis, "Characterizing adaptive capacity to climate change in developing countries: a case study on Peru"
Thursday @ SAU, 11am – 2pm: Take Back the Tap (hosted by SEAL) – This is a taste test of bottled water vs. tap water…Can you taste the difference?
Friday @ RIT Community Garden, 9 AM – 5 PM: Opening of the RIT Community Garden. New volunteers are welcome from 10 AM – 2 PM.
