Scholarship Opportunities

Department of Defense Cybersecurity Scholarship

Full tuition coverage and stipend of $25k (BS) or $30k (MS). Must be 3rd year or higher (BS) or 2nd year (MS), in a CSEC major or concentration and maintain a GPA of 3.2 (BS) or 3.5 (MS). Must be a US citizen.

Raytheon's Women Cyber Security Scholarship Program

In conjunction with the (ISC)² Women's Cybersecurity Scholarship Program. $8,000 scholarship each to be applied to tuition, fees, and books only. One (ISC)² exam voucher, textbook, practice exams, five-day seminar, and 1 year membership fees included. Potential for internship opportunities with Raytheon. Must be a first year undergraduate student with a GPA of 3.3 or above. Must be a US Citizen.

AFCEA Scholarship 2018 - Erie Canal Chapter

In 2018, the Erie Canal Chapter of the Armed Forces Communications & Electronics Association (AFCEA) will award scholarships for full-time undergraduate or graduate study in STEM majors with a concentration in cybersecurity with individual awards from $500 to $3000. A one-year AFCEA membership and free subscription to Signal Magazine will be included. Must be a US Citizen from the Central NY region (Albany - Buffalo).

CyberCorps® Scholarship For Service

Full tuition coverage and stipend of $22.5k (BS) or $34k (MS). Healthcare, books, and professional development allowance also included. Must be enrolled or to be enrolled in BSMS dual degree program majoring in CSEC, CS, or SE with a GPA of 3.25 or higher. Must be a US citizen or permanent resident.

(ISC)² Cybersecurity Scholarships

Up to $5000 awarded per recipient.


Must be 1st, 2nd, or 3rd year with a GPA of 3.3 or above, pursuing a cybersecurity degree.

Must be eligible to pursue a 1st or 2nd year of Master's degree in cybersecurity with a GPA of 3.5 or above.
