Welcome New Students!

We would like to welcome all our new students who will be entering the School of Interactive Games & Media!  We are looking forward to meeting all of you.

Our Academic advisors will build your schedule and enroll you in fall semester classes. In mid-July you will be able to access your tentative schedule. You can do this through the Student Information System (SIS) online at http://sis.rit.edu. You must use your RIT computer account and password.

To ensure proper placement in courses, please request your official transcripts and scores for Advanced Placement (AP) credit, International Baccalaureate (IB), and transfer credits and have them sent via mail to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions as soon as possible. For more information, please refer to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions website at http://www.rit.edu/emcs/admissions. In addition, you are required to take the Math Placement Exam (MPE). To access the exam or for more information, please visit http://www.rit.edu/science/mpe.

In addition, please familiarize yourself with a number of resources including our website, a tool designed for both incoming and current students: http://igm.rit.edu.  Also, please consider following us on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/igmrit) and Twitter (@IGMRIT) to stay connected with the latest IGM related news and events. Finally, please check your RIT email account for future correspondence from IGM. If you have trouble accessing your email account, contact Information & Technology Services (ITS) at helpdesk@rit.edu or 585-475-4357.

The School of Interactive Games and Media will offer you the support, challenges, and rewards you expect in a high quality academic program. If we can assist you as you prepare for college, please contact one of our advisors:
