Kids on Campus FAQ

What is your Tax Identification Number?
Kids on Campus tax ID# is 16-0744140.

Are scholarships available?
Contact the program director for more information.

Is transportation provided?
We do not provide transportation services, but we do send a car pool survey with registration materials.

How many students attend Kids on Campus?
Each session has the potential to have 120 students registered.

Why do we run two-week sessions?
Two-week sessions allow students to learn an extraordinary amount of content and provide ample time to learn, grow, and complete a variety of fun projects and activities. Many students choose to attend both two-week sessions.

Is it possible to attend half days or for only one week?
Only if you are willing to pay for the whole session and only attend part. The workshops are full of important information; missing that much time may leave you feeling behind.

Can students change workshops once a session begins?
We discourage such changes, but we can accommodate requests for change at the director's and instructors' discretion.

Do you ever cancel a workshop?
We do everything possible to see that every workshop runs. If, for any reason, we do have to cancel a workshop, students can elect to be placed in another workshop or parents will be given a full refund.

How many students are in a typical workshop?
A typical academic workshop ranges in size from eight to twelve students. Academic workshops with twelve or more students will generally have an assistant in addition to the instructor.

Supervision and Dismissal Policy
All Kids on Campus students are subject to continuous supervision and must remain with the group at all times. Kids on Campus reserves the right to dismiss any student due to behaviors which preclude being able to participate safely and effectively in the Kids on Campus setting. This action will take effect after consultation with instructor, student, and parent. Under these circumstances, no refund will be granted.

How does Registration work?
Select a workshop based on available seats; the workshop you select will be the workshop you are placed in. If your desired workshop is full, please contact us to be placed on a waitlist (we prefer to fill all of our workshops than to overload those that are already full).

What is the computer skill level of a typical student?
We welcome students of all skill levels ranging from beginners to experts. The curriculum is designed to accommodate different skill levels. Our approach is individualized and hands-on which enables students to progress at their own pace.

My child needs to take medication. Who will dispense it?
Staff members do not dispense medication. If you are not comfortable with your child taking his/her medication, you are welcome to come dispense the medication when necessary.

What kind of payments do you accept?
Credit card payment can be made online. Personal checks, cash, traveler's checks, and money order payments can be negotiated. Please contact us if you require an offline payment.

What is your Discount Policy?
We offer a 30% discount for RIT employees, referring a friend (or family member), or being referred. There is an additional 10% discount for the second session, if a student attends more than one session.

What is the Refund Policy?
If you need to withdraw, a refund minus a $100.00 processing fee will be granted up to June 1st. No refunds will be processed after that time.

How do I contact my child during the day?
If you have an emergency and need to contact your child, please call Kids on Campus at (585) 496-4562.

What about Late Arrival/Early Dismissal?
