Dean Andrew Sears to represent the Association for Computing Machinery on the Board of the Computing Research Association

Dean Andrew Sears, an Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) Distinguished Scientist and a founding editor-in-chief of the ACM Transactions on Accessible Computing, has been named by Vinton Cerf, ACM President, to represent ACM on the Board of Directors of the Computing Research Association, effective January 1st, 2014. As part of his role, Dean Sears will collaborate with computing professionals, public and private researchers, and government officials to advance computing research in a variety of areas. The Computing Research Association’s work is designed, in part, to “enhance innovation by joining with government, industry, and academia to strengthen research and advanced education in computing.”
