The mission of the Office of Government and Community Relations is to implement a comprehensive program of government relations, community relations and special events which develops and maintains positive and effective relationships between RIT and all levels of government as well as the community at large.

University News is the primary information link between RIT and a variety of audiences - which include the media. Our staff pitches hundreds of RIT-related story ideas annually to reporters and editors at print, broadcast and Internet news services. University News publications include News & Events, RIT's newspaper of record, and The University Magazine, RIT's alumni publication.

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at RIT is an academic-based, membership-led organization that stimulates minds and forges friendships among people ages 50 and older who live in Greater Rochester.

The Special Events office is the primary university contact for special events and conferences for both campus and external clients.  We provide a "one-stop-shop" for event planning services that include: comprehensive event management; housing, dining, and catering arrangements; coordination of meeting space; facilities support and technical services.

RIT's tradition for alumni, students and familie.
