Events Schedule » KGCOE Dean's Alumni Speaker Series

Whether you have the title or not, every job you have will require you to sell-- your thoughts, your ideas, your designs. And, when you are coming from a position grounded firmly in technology and logic, selling is a very consultative, collaborative and honorable endeavor. Come and hear why one former engineer bucked his former department head and went over to "the dark side" of sales and marketing, and how his engineering background was invaluable to that transformation!

Presenter R. Todd Barber (KGCOE-EE '87) is Account General Manager for Canada at Comverse, the world's leading provider of software and systems services for converged billing, active customer management, and mobile Internet. Todd has held several leadership positions in his 25 years in telecommmunications and technology, including network engineering and product development/management at Frontier Communications, and executive sales and business development roles at several Fortune 1000 companies and start-ups. Todd holds an MBA in Marketing & Finance from U of R Simon School of Business Administration.
