RIT President Emeritus will be on campus as the keynote speaker at the NYS AAUP annual conference. Students, families, alumni and friends are invited to hear him speak on the topic of "The Cost of Higher Education and Intercollegiate Athletics." Dr. Simone served as president of RIT for 14 years before he retired in June 2007. He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Beta Gamma Sigma and Phi Kappa Phi, and the author of several books and numberous journal publications on the application of mathematics, statistics and computers to economics and business. Some of Dr. Simone's professional accomplishments include; Past Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the New York Commission on Independent Colleges and Universities; Federal Reserve Bank of New York; HSBC Bank USA Advisory Board; State Higher Education Executive Officers; Advisory Council on International Services; Advisory Group on International Arbitration; and National Collegiate Athletics Association Division I Presidents Commission.
